The Fountain Head

I have just completed the first 400 pages of the book. And my reaction---its the bible !!!

When you asked someone for a short little synopsis of the Fountainhead, they without exception respond the same, dumbfounded looks, vague half sentences, stammering, and finally after gasps for air and grunts they are able to articulate "you just have to read it to understand"

Unlike the sidney shieldon's books the plots are very simple . It doesnt preach you whats right or wrong..Leaves the readers to form their own opinion on the given cases.

The way the young architect thinks about his work is awesome. The love in his subjects and his rigid attitude makes him look weird.

There's no argument that it's a well written complex piece of literature. The development of people and personality types, social patterns is intricate and stunning.

A perfect philosophical book !!!

The Googol Story

The story is about young Stanford grads starting up their company "Backrub"(Googol ...Google) Its about their excitement .... their experiences.

The satisfaction you get by starting your own company based on technology or some unique service based plan is priceless......

I guess in a startup the execution is more important than the idea. How you execute the plans makes a simple idea a world class product.

Innovation & Creativity

This book is based on how to bring innovation & creativity in a group environment......

If hostile behavior exists in the environment then the whole energy is lost in belittling others, thus there will be no creativity in such a group.

So make sure that the group you are working in should be very friendly.

Power, Influence and Persuasion---Harvard Business Essentials

A harvard Business School Book which teaches the way to lead a dynamic group.

Leader is anyone who has the capability to lead - not the 'formal position' to lead. It's not necessary to have a formal position in a group to lead.To lead India you don't have to be the president or some government authority.....but the right skills...

Being a leader you need to

1)
identify people and their skills
2)
understand their idea of change (sometimes guys have immature ideas... you need to show them better and concretise their plans)
3)
Devise a plan out of your own intellect, which can help occupy all of their energies and make them see that what they sought for is actually possible.

Fortune at the bottom of the pyramid

A very good book which focusses on the possibilities of the bottom of the pyramid.

India's 70 % of the population lives in bottom of the pyramid...

25 % in middle order

5 % in elite section...

So why do all the business focus and compete for the top 30 % customers only....

The 70 % people combined has a greater potential for your business :)
